FireFly International, Inc. is a technology company headquartered in Tampa, Florida, whose vision is to set the industry standard for backlighting all computer keyboards. FireFly uses proprietary lighting technology combined with patented design to produce an advanced backlit computer keyboard.

The company owns three U.S. patents, two ongoing patent applications in the USA and has patents pending in most European countries, China, Japan and Korea.

The patented method uses electroluminescent (“EL”) panels similar to the flat panel nightlights used in many homes. Recently developed, associated technology significantly prolongs the life and quality of this type of illumination. It is inexpensive, long lasting, emits no heat and uses a minimum amount of power.
